Part of the First AZPA Portfolio Box

As a founding member of the Arizona Photography Alliance (AZPA), I’m honored to be part of the inaugural portfolio box. The boxes were exchanged between 25 participating members. Each of us made 27 prints: 25 for the box, one for the AZPA archive, and one gifted to the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson. From color to black and white images ranging from botanicals to portraits to landscapes and street photography, from abstraction to realism, the portfolio shows off the full range and depth of its members.

I chose a self portrait, something very different for me. The pandemic has been a period of experimentation, inquiry, pushing boundaries, and discovery. So the self portrait reflects my mood, at least as far as I’ve been able to discern at this point. I’m so lucky that my work lives in this portfolio along with photographers I admire and call friends.

The outer box was constructed by Cloverleaf Studio in Austin, TX. The coordinating and assembling of the project was carefully and professionally done by AZPA members Neil A. Miller, Dennis Collins, Betty Drake, Richard Laugharn, Kathy Morgan, and Rebecca Ross. Many thanks to all.
