Mayo Loaned Art Program

I’m super happy to be showing several of my gold leaf images at Mayo Clinic starting in the new year. Many thanks for to Anna Akridge, Arts Program Specialist, Mayo Clinic Center for Humanities in Medicine, for providing this opportunity and creating such a respectful, affirming experience.

As many of you know, my husband had a transplant in 2014. Due to unexpected complications, he was in the hospital’s wonderful care for nearly a month. I spent a lot of time there of course and wandered the hallways looking at artwork. Viewing the paintings, photographs, sculptures, and mixed media pieces was a great distraction from worry and such a comfort.

To be accepted into their Loaned Art Program is not only an honor, but a full circle moment for me. A beautiful way to hopefully give to other patients and visitors what I received during those uncertain days.

My work will be on the third floor of the Specialty Building (Building 2) on the Phoenix Campus.  The address is 5779 E Mayo Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85054. The current planned exhibit dates are January 7, 2027 – April 30, 2027. If you have occasion to be there, please do stop by if you need a respite from a test or a visit.
